2006 - The Lucas Brothers and the Squires
This year’s cleanup effort exceeded all expectations thanks to the muscle and sweat put in by the Lucas brothers and their friends, the Wilmington Squires. The Lucases are our new neighbors and we feel very lucky to live side-by-side with such an exceptional family of young people. When asked if they’d be interested in unearthing hundreds of pounds of debris still buried in our abutting conservation land, not only did they immediately step up to the task but they also called in their own special forces, the Squires (a youth organization of the Knights of Columbus).
